THE INFORMATION OF EDITORIAL POLICIES

Indonesian Journal of Muhammadiyah Studies (IJMUS) is published by the Majelis Pendidikan Kader Sumber Daya Insani (MPKSDI) Pengurus Daerah Muhammadiyah Kota Salatiga, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia

Indonesian Journal of Muhammadiyah Studies (IJMUS) is published twice a year (every June and December). The journal accepts articles on Indonesian Journal of Muhammadiyah studies on islamic scope included, History, Thought, Law, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Education and Education, Psychology and Spirituality, and Muhammadiyah Studies in Indonesia using standard research methods for publication. These articles can be written by researchers, academics, practitioners and observers who are interested in conducting research in this field

 

GENERAL GUIDE

  1. All manuscripts must be submitted through Indonesia Journal of Muhammadiyah Studies (IJMUS)Online Submission E-Journal Portal https://ijmus.muhammadiyahsalatiga.org/index.php/ijmus
  2. The author submitting a manuscript does understand that if the corresponding paper is accepted, then the copyright will be assigned to Indonesia Journal of Muhammadiyah Studies (ijmus). To do so, we obliged the author to submit the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement(we expect the author to download the document and then scan and send it after signing to the journal email address at mpksalatiga@gmail.com)
  3. The article is original, guaranteed by the writer, and not published in other journals/proceedings.
  4. The statement contributes to developing science and technology from the new findings/ideas/opinions prioritizing the current primary references in the last ten years. We expect the author to state noveltywithin the introductory section. (e.g. there are few number of research….; the novelty of this research…; etc.)
  5. The article is an empirical or theoretical study. The sharpness of critical analysis and synthesis is prioritized.
  6. The review process is double-blind with the peer group system, which is reinforced by qualified reviewers in their field.
  7. The article is written according to the rules of the Ijmus journal, and an editorial team reserves the right to revise the writing style with a note that it does not change the intent and quality of the article.
  8. Questionnaires and other instruments. Manuscript articles that use primary data research or experimentation must also include the survey document as the supplementary document.
  9. Authors are obliged to send the results of data processing, tables, and the original image file via email.
  10. Results of the assessment possibilities articles can be:

  12. Received with major revisions.
  13. Suggested sent to another appropriate journal.
  14. Rejected.

 

SPECIAL GUIDE

  1. The Writing Guidance
  2. The article is well-written in English, ranging from 4,500 to 6,000 words. They typed a single space for the abstract. There are one and a half spaces for content and references. Written in font Arial 12pt size, the paragraph indent is 1,15 cm.
  3. The paper size is JIS B5 (18.21 cm x 25.7 cm), one column, and the page setup is: top margin 3 cm; bottom margin 3 cm; left margin 2.5 cm and suitable margin 2.5 cm. 
  4.  The font size for the title is Arial 16pt; it is capitalized each word, bolded, and left justified.
  5. After the title, it is followed by the author (without the title). It is Arial 12pt, bolded, and left justified.
  6. Under the author, the institution and the email at TNR 12pt capitalized each word without bolding and left justified—for example, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Salatiga, Indonesia.
  7. The font size for the sub-part in the article is Arial 12pt, and each word is capitalized, bolded, and left justified.
  8. The Article Systematic

The article systematically includes the title, the identity of the author (without a title), abstract, keywords, introduction (without sub-sections), method, result and discussion, conclusion, implication, recommendation, and references. The literature review and previous studies are included in the introduction.

  1. The Article Format 
  2. Title. The title must be attractive, specific, and informative, which is measured by directness in writing.
  3. The author's identity. It includes the author’s name (without the title), the institution, the country, and the email.
  4. Abstract. It is written in about 200 words. The abstract should include the purpose of the research, data/object of study, method, result or conclusion, and implication.
  5. Keywords. Keywords should be chosen carefully and can reflect the concepts/variables contained in the article, with some three to five keywords.
  6. Introduction. It is the state of arts of the research, which consists of the background of the study, the motivation of the study, the theories and the objectives of the study, and the novelty of the research. It is written in the form of a paragraph.
  7. Method. It consists of the research design (the method, the data, the data source, the data collecting technique, the data analysis technique, and the measurement of the variables) written in a paragraph.
  8. Result and discussion. It contains the results of empirical or theoretical studies written by a systematic, critical, and informative analysis. The use of tables, images, etc., is only to support or clarify the discussion and is confined only to supporting substantial information, e.g., tables of statistical tests, model testing results, etc. Discussion of results should be argumentative regarding the relevance of the results, theory, previous research, and empirical facts and demonstrate the novelty of the findings.
  9. Conclusion, implication, and suggestion.It consists of the conclusion, clarity of new findings, new theories, and the possibility of future research development.
  10. References. The reference uses the latest edition of APA Citation Style—the degree of sophistication of materials referred to in 10 years. The references are expected to be 80% of the primary sources from national and international journals. Writing citations referenced in the script should use a reference application (reference manager) such as Mendeley, Endnote, or Zotero
